These terms
These terms cover work carried out by Sign & Print, 714b Barking Road, London, E13 9JZ. Accepting a quotation means accepting them.
Quotations
Quotations are based on the survey and the artwork supplied at the time. If the structure behind the fascia turns out to need work, if access has to change, or if the artwork changes after approval, we will re-quote before going any further.
Prices exclude VAT unless the quotation says otherwise.
Artwork and approval
You will receive a scaled visual before manufacture. Nothing is cut until you approve it in writing, by email or by signing the visual.
Once artwork is approved, the cost of changes falls to you. Please check spelling, phone numbers and opening hours carefully — those are the ones that get missed.
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use any logo or artwork you send us.
Permissions
Some signage needs advertisement consent from the local authority, and illuminated signage usually does. Listed buildings and conservation areas have their own rules. Unless we have agreed in writing to handle the application, obtaining consent is the customer’s responsibility.
If your premises are leased, check your lease before ordering. Landlord consent is also the customer’s responsibility.
Installation
We will agree an installation date once the sign is built. Dates depend on weather and on safe access being available on the day.
You are responsible for making sure our team can get to the frontage: parking, scaffold licences where the pavement is affected, and clear access inside if we need to run power.
Payment
Unless the quotation says otherwise, a deposit is payable before manufacture starts and the balance on completion.
Goods remain our property until they are paid for in full.
Guarantee
Manufacturing faults are put right at our cost. The guarantee does not cover accidental damage, vandalism, storm damage, or work carried out on the sign by someone else.
LED components carry the manufacturer’s own warranty, which we will pass on.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Otherwise our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
